On a lovely day,

Tyrant

There is a tyrant that lives within me.

Her touch makes my skin crawl,

so I retreat within myself.

She has turned many a friend into a rival.

She has left me sleepless, wrapped up in my own head.

She fills me with self doubt, anger, hatred,

and remorse.

No matter how I try to rid myself of her,

she finds her way back to me like a desperate lover.

But offers no love in return.

She is so bound to me, that it is even written in the stars.

Her name.

It's in the country where I find my happieness most easily.

There is a closeness to nature that works it's way into daily life when you go

outside the city.

The wide spaces where man and animal alike can stretch their legs, their wings,

and breath a sigh of relief.~

premier of The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Collaboration

I was looking through photos last night and came across this forgotten gem.

A few of my friends and I decided to paint over an older used canvas,

and make something grand.
Oh, and if you notice, there was a kitty attacking our brushstrokes as we painted.
She added her own touch to the painting.~

Expanding

I've recently become obsessed with Canva website.

Not only do I love their user friendly format perfect

for creating all you can imagine,

but the co-op feel for their design team is something I can really get behind.

I encourage you all to check it out, 

as you will surely be seeing many creations through Canva from me.

This was created to express how I felt, 

and continue to feel,

about by one and only.~

Phone down

This may be an odd topic of conversation for a blogger, but there is something to be said

about putting your phone down.

Mind you, much of the life of blogging involved recording your life from behind a camera lens.

You cannot, however, capture the beautiful iridescent shine of a hummingbirds feathers,

the chorus of laughter filter across a room,

the fresh smells of summer that bring back so many memories,

from behind a camera.

So choose your moments to record and document,

and choose your moments to live.~
